The 2009 Oregon Oak Barrel Select Pinot Noir is the third installment of our Oregon Oak series. This 2009 starts out with rich vanilla, oak, red leather and a hint of clove on the nose. Deep garnet color leads to lavender, dark cherry, blackcap raspberry with a little blueberry mid palette. Overall smooth mouth feel with a hint of spice on the lingering Earl Grey tea finish. This wine pairs well with Ragout of beef short rib and smoked salmon, to lamb sausage stuffed mushrooms.
